Thankfully my parents kept us home. I used to be mad about that but now I understand. I did have one friend who i could stay at once in high school. Their dad was cool and never acted creepy. He was working most of the time. I never had kids but if I did I would definitely have kept them home.

Just hire a maid” when the couple can’t afford for the wife to stay home, she mentioned she works 40 hours too. “Don’t speak to your husband that way” she wasn’t - she was anonymously asking you for advice in a moment of complete honesty. The response was unbelievably tone deaf. To that wife: seek professional counseling/therapy for practical help, not cookie-cutter responses from untrained pastor’s wives who are unqualified to give a productive response.

When my husband and I were engaged we bought a house together 4 months before the wedding (just perfect house and timing.) We moved in together and immediately felt convicted. We were abstinent and I was a virgin buuut it still felt wrong. Two days later we were at the court house getting pre married-married we called it. We were incredibly blessed to have God at the center of our lives. Now 7 years later, two kids here one in heaven were so blessed. With every struggle and sacrifice I know God in with us we are blessed.

Sooo when does the part where the girl betters herself come in? Cuz this just is helicopter parenting. I’m not saying it’s wrong in this specific situation exactly. A dad should break up with the boy if the boy is going to harm the girl. If he’s that kind of bad. But if he does it just cuz she might change her mind then she needs to grow up. And the dad taking over rather than guiding her is just going to harm her in the long run. By not confronting the mistake head on, she is doomed to repeat it. And I hope on that daddy daughter date he talks to her about how waiting for the right person is better than settling for the wrong person. Also parents don’t know. I vent to my parents about one of my friends. They think this friend is the absolute worst. But that’s only cuz when I talk about him to them it’s when I’m annoyed about something. But I’m also the kind of person that vents about problems and doesn’t brag about solutions. When my friend does something nice for me, I enjoy it in the moment and move on. I don’t vent cuz there isn’t a need to vent. So parents have a distorted view about who their kids hang out with. Whether it’s thinking ill of a good guy or vice versa.

It's clear that she's one of those who cannot see past her nose to be able to forgive and move on, seeing how smug she's being. Actually I now believe that permaculture has the best idea: treat animals as God created them to live. Animals shouldn’t be on concrete. They should be on grass. We can have dominion over them but be kind and realize how they help us and feed us. They shouldn’t suffer under our watch. Jesus loves all of his creations.
